Starting his career in a real estate agency at the tender age of 17, Andrew sold his first home within a matter of months. He then went on to spend some years with a firm of Chartered Surveyors fine tuning his house selling skills, but combining it with inside knowledge of construction, structural issues, building faults and problems.
To further expand his career he made the move to Central London where he sold apartments and townhouses in the famous Baker Street and Regents Park areas. Whilst selling properties in the redeveloped Canary Wharf area in London and Kent, his career gained an added angle � he was chosen to present and research a new TV program about his favourite subject �Selling Houses�. Today Selling Houses Australia is the most popular non-sports programs on FOXTEL and is produced by Beyond Productions, with the ninth season to premiere in 2016. The show has won the ASTRA Award for Favourite Program Australia 6 times and has received several TV Week Logie nominations. Andrew has won the ASTRA subscriber�s choice award for Favourite Male Personality for five consecutive years since 2010 and holds the current title.
In 2014 Andrew released his second book, Andrew Winter�s Australian Real Estate Guide, published by HarperCollins. Andrew is an ambassador to Sanctuary Cove and is one of News Ltd�s panel of real estate experts. As a champion of consumer issues, he delves into the issues faced by property owners, buyers, sellers across Australia. His News Ltd articles feature in national, regional and local newspapers and magazines including The Daily Telegraph in Sydney and the Herald Sun in Melbourne. As part of his role with News Ltd Andrew has presented a series of Property Masterclasses, Real Estate Gyms and vendor presentations.
Andrew is passionate about speaking to consumers and the real estate industry about topics including how to prepare your home for sale, achieve the best sale price, what to look for when buying a new home or investment property and the process and tips to successfully downsizing in retirement. Andrew has MC�d and presented for Australian Unity Retirement Living, Grand Designs Australia LIVE, Bunnings, Lend Lease Retirement Living and the Property Masterclass series for News Ltd to name a few. In 2006 Andrew also appeared at The BBC Good Homes Show and House and Garden Show at Olympia in London.
