Professor Jim Bright, BA, PhD, FAPS, FCDAA

Professor Jim is a widely experienced Keynote and workshop presenter. He skilfully combines authority, intellect, humour and entertainment to convey important messages about change and creativity in an accessible, fun and memorable way.

Jim is a world authority specialising in Organisational Psychology and Career Development. He has devoted over a decade to researching how individuals and organisations can respond optimally to a rapidly changing and uncertain world. Jim is one of the leading researchers in the field and a in-demand speaker, having keynoted in the last 3 years the major national Conferences of the United States (NCDA), Canada (Cannexus), New Zealand (IAEVG Conference) and Australia (CDAA twice, NAGCAS) as well as speaking by invitation twice at the International Centre for Guidance Studies in the UK. Jim?s many clients include leading organisations such as Commonwealth Bank Westpac, BHP, Lend Lease, Dimensions Data, Datacom, Sigma Pharmaceuticals, Tax Office, Sports Institute of Australia, DEST, Knox Grammar School, Workcover, Audit Office and many others.

He has published 10 books on psychology. He has over 100 scientific journal articles, reports, chapters and tests. He holds a BA(Hons) and PhD in Psychology and is a Fellow of both the Australian Psychological Society and the Career Development Association of Australia.

Jim enjoys a portfolio career, running Bright and Associates, a career management consultancy working with senior level executives with their transitions, in addition to his research and teaching. He has also worked in the media for over a decade, first on ABC radio as their careers and employment expert (5 years), then with Mikey Robbins on Radio 2, on Channel 10 Home & Lifestyle show and Kickstart Careers. He is currently a Mid-week conference panelist on Richard Glover's top rating ABC Drive show in Sydney as well as writing the weekly Brightside Column for the Melbourne Age and Sydney Morning Herald for the last six years.

He presents alongside jazz legend James Morrison showcasing his original and practical model of creativity while James demonstrates it in their acclaimed Beyond Corporate Mastery? show.
