Fenella Kernebone is the Director of Frankly Group and Head of Programming for Sydney Ideas at the University of Sydney. Prior to this role, she was Head of Curation for TEDxSydney from 2017 - 2022, where she was responsible for leading the programming for one of the largest TEDx events in the world. Her artwork, Here Lies Your Story, commissioned by the City of Sydney for Art&About was installed in early April 2022.

Recent podcasts include the Art Gallery of NSW, 'Art, life and the other thing' through the Brett Whiteley Studio. She is also the host of two seasons of Lumina, a podcast about how tech innovations challenge and shape the way we share stories - produced for AFTRS.

She is on the Board of the National Trust of Australia NSW and joined the board of Performance Space in February 2022.

A noted television and radio presenter and producer, Fenella has hosted numerous radio and television shows. These have included Art Nation & Sunday Arts on ABC TV; The Movie Show on SBS TV; By Design on Radio National; and her long running cult electronic music show, The Sound Lab on Triple J. She independently hosted and produced a music podcast called Trackwork in 2016 and hosted a season of It's a Long Story (Sydney Opera House podcast). In 2020 she was a guest presenter on SBS Life Drawing Live.

In 2020, her skills as a moderator and television presenter saw her work collaboratively across many virtual events and with many organisations including the launch of the Chau Chak Wing Museum within the University of Sydney; hosting the filmed version of the National Heritage Awards (National Trust NSW), the Portia Geach Awards; CIO Summit 2020; and facilitating numerous virtual and in person panels and conversations for, among others, Google Cloud, Dell and Spark.

Fenella has spent large chunks of her life as an MC, Moderator and speaker - and loves it. From La Nuit des Ides at Sydney Opera House 2020; Xerocon 2018 & 2019; Dell Technologies Forum 2019; INDE Design Gala 2019; Australian Production Design Guild Awards; Moderator at the Skoll World Forum, Oxford UK 2019; Music From the Movies with Sydney Philharmonia Choirs in Sydney Opera House Concert Hall and hundreds more events across the years. She has hosted storytelling workshops for clients such as the Event Awards Symposium, University of Sydney, QBE and many others.

She has delivered keynotes at the FPA Congress , Australian Event Awards, Commonwealth Private, University of Sydney talks - Art & Neuroplasticity & Fighting Truth Decay; Sydney Architecture Festival Ethics in the Age of Excess and for Carers NSW.

As part of her role with TEDxSydney she has hosted numerous events including TEDxSydney (2019, 2018, 2017), TEDxSydney Salons and Pitch Nights. She has also hosted events with TEDxSydney partners including NOVA, oOh! Media, KPMG, Leo Burnetts, KPMG, Acer as well as storytelling workshops for Amazon Web Services (in Hanoi) and KPMG.

Frankly Group is a creative consultancy and boutique production company working with clients across a range of projects both big and small - conference curation, presentation and public speaking training, storytelling workshops and masterclasses, podcasts, video and more.
