Fun loving, passionate and enthusiastic radio presenter, Daniel Gawned, has recently stepped into the limelight and joined Melbourne's Nova 100 breakfast radio program, the Hughesy and Kate show, as anchor.
Previously over the 2011-2012 summer period, Daniel played host on Nova's national Fresh Hits night show (7-10pm). In 2011 he also hosted his own national Saturday night show on the Nova Network.
Daniel kick started his radio career as the weekly movie review guy at 97.3 Coast FM Mandurah WA at age 16. The weekly on air segment become less about the movies and more about his antics, which brought him to attention of 747 Radio West who offered him his own breakfast show for the next two years.
A job opportunity in metropolitan radio saw him then move to Melbourne to host Triple M's National all Aussie Home Brew Show and the Saturday Night Party Show, a gig that saw him featured in FHM Magazine.
Daniel joined Nova 100 at the end of 2009. While working as an on air announcer he also took up the position of panel operator on Nova's National Drive Show Ryan, Monty & Wippa. In January 2011 he moved to Sydney's Nova 969 to work on the Fitzy & Wippa in Show.
Aside from radio, Daniel has become a regular guest on Channel Seven's The Morning Show. He was also chosen as the main presenter for the production of the Paspaley Polo on One HD.
An experienced MC, Daniel has MC'd major events for the Nova Network and clients including Vodafone, Shock Entertainment in store events and Australian Open Concerts at Hisense Arena.
In between all of this, Daniel manages to squeeze in time to watch is beloved AFL team, the St Kilda Football Club.
With an already very successful radio career, not to mention his infectious good-humour, liveliness and some what mischievous qualities, Daniel is poised to continue his winning streak in the radio world and is definitely a name to remember.
