Dr Guy Hingston is a highly respected surgical oncologist, author and speaker. He has a passionate interest in preventive health and travels extensively speaking and lecturing on this topic to business people, schools, medical colleagues and other groups. His powerful message is drawn from his many years' experience as a surgical oncologist who has specialised in breast reduction and reconstructive surgery.
Guy recently published two health service manuals -
"The Gold Book for Men - Men's Service Manual for Life"
"The Gold Book for Women - Women's Service Manual for Life".
These ground-breaking new preventive healthcare tools, along with their supported website www.gold-book.net, are aimed at those who want to increase their lifelong health. These have helped place Guy in demand as a speaker.
Guy completed his Royal Australasian College of Surgery Fellowship in Brisbane in 1997 and has since sub-specialised in breast surgery. He became a full member of the Breast Section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1998 and is a Foundation Member of BreastSurgANZ.
In 2003, Guy decided to move with his family to the North Coast of New South Wales and now heads a busy surgical clinic catering for a large number of women who need breast reduction and reconstruction surgery, as well as many other breast health needs of women of the North Coast, including breast cancer management. He also lectures in surgery, breast cancer and preventive health at the University of NSW Rural Clinical School.
