George McEncroe

George McEncroe is a comedian, a writer, a teacher, a footy coach and a broadcaster. Oh and she also started Australia's first female rideshare company 'Shebah'. Apart from designing a service to keep women safe as drivers and as riders, Shebah is the first and only service designed to transport kids, yes with car seats provided.

George has worked across many sectors from disability support, palliative care, transport, tech, human rights, media and education. As CEO of Shebah George achieved the biggest Crowd Source Funding round in Australia when she raised 3 million dollars for Shebah. As a gen Xer, running a tech company was the last thing George thought she would be doing but, just like bringing in the washing, no one else was going to do it so she did.

Oh and she has kids, lots of them. Well four but as a single mum it's like having 12.

You might have heard her on Triple M, Mix FM, ABC 774, Radio National or seen her on the tele watching 'Spicks and Specks'. George has written for The Age, Women's Agenda, The Australian, Women's Health Magazine and has been a contributor to books 'Mothermorphosis', 'Kitchen Table Memoirs', 'She's Having a Laugh' and 'Women and War: Listening to The Silences'.

George is a great communicator, warm, sharp, kind and very entertaining.
