Jessica Rowe AM is an accomplished journalist, television presenter, columnist and author. Jessica’s television credits include co-hosting Network Ten’s Studio 10, Seven Network’s Weekend Sunrise and Nine Network’s The Today Show. She was also the nightly anchor on First at Five News on Network Ten for ten years.

A self confessed “crap housewife”, Jess has gathered a strong and loyal following with her #craphousewife movement - uniting and celebrating other mothers who, like Jess, sometimes feel like they are not the perfect mother, wife or cook. With humour and honesty, Jess shares her amusing misadventures on Crap Housewife.

As an author, Jessica has released four books — The Best of Times, The Worst of Times, Love. Wisdom. Motherhood, and her 2015 memoir, Is This My Beautiful Life? Jess’ most recent published work is Diary of a Crap Housewife. Published in 2019, Diary of a Crap Housewife expands upon Jess’ popular blog with amusing and insightful tales of motherhood and domestic chaos.

Jess also teamed up with her best friend and TV icon, Denise Drysdale, for a podcast series titled One Fat Lady and One Thin Lady. Recorded live at Jess’ dining room table, Jess and Denise compared their very personal, hilarious and candid tales of family, work, relationships and all the bits in between that we call ‘life.’ The podcast debuted at No. 1 on Apple Podcasts (All Categories) in 2018 and was included in Apple Podcast’s Inspiring Women series for International Women’s Day 2019.

Jess is also a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, having herself experienced post natal depression. Jess is an ambassador for beyondblue and a patron of Mental Health Australia. In 2015 Jess was honoured as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her mental health advocacy work and her contribution to Australian media.

Jess returns to television in 2019 on Seven Network’s The Real Dirty Dancing.

Jess is married to Nine News Sydney presenter and 60 Minutes reporter Peter Overton and together they have two young daughters, Allegra (11) and Giselle (9).
