Andy Lark is an internationally renowned marketer and innovator in social media. Andy is the Chief Marketing & Online Officer at Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he leads global marketing and online. He has 25 years of experience across business-to-business and consumer sectors spans building successful businesses and leading award-winning marketing programs and teams for Fortune and Times 100 companies, global technology brands, start-ups and the world's hottest advertising and communications agencies.

Prior to joining Australia's leading financial institution Andrew was vice president and CMO Large Enterprise & Public at Dell, where he was charged with leading global marketing for its $35bn Enterprise and Public group. Prior to this, he led communications, conversations, and global online at Dell, which included responsibility for Dell.com, the world's largest eCommerce site. During this time, he spearheaded the company's revitalization of its online presence and pioneered Dell's award winning social media programs.

Andrew joined Dell from LogLogic, a hot technology start-up backed by Sequoia Capital, Worldview and others. He led all marketing activity as CMO and the company's business efforts in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to LogLogic, Andrew was vice president of worldwide marketing and communications at Sun Microsystems. In this role, his responsibilities spanned corporate marketing, global media and analyst relations, research, messaging and positioning, advertising and branding, product launches, tradeshows and events, publishing, industrial design, and executive communications. Andrew made the move to Sun following a successful career at Nortel Networks where he led all corporate marketing and communications and was chief marketer for Asia Pacific. Andrew joined Nortel from Fleishman-Hillard, the world's largest public relations agency, where he was a senior vice president and partner consulting to global leaders such as Dell, Microsoft, IBM, and Sony.

Andy has held a number of directorships of public and privately held companies and today sits on the board of, No.8 Ventures - New Zealand's premier technology venture capital firm; and the advisory boards of Xero - a leading Web-based accounting platform, Xsigo and Prof Gary Hamel's Management Innovation Exchange.

A native of Auckland, New Zealand, Andrew holds a bachelor's degree from Auckland University. When he is not immersed in work, he expends his spare energy as a competitive sailor, avid reader and wine enthusiast. He also enjoys cycling, windsurfing, writing, travel and design. Andrew is married with a delightful daughter, Sophia and son, Zach. He has no interest in golf.
