Clementine Ford is one of Australias most prominent feminists, award winning journalist and a best-selling author of two books.

Clementine rose to prominence as a columnist for Fairfax, quickly earning a reputation for provoking challenging conversations around gender inequality, mens violence against women, mental health issues and the politics of work/life balance. She has become an outspoken critic of online misogyny, using her own experiences of being trolled and abused as an example of how to continue using ones voice in a hostile environment.

Clementines writing has been published in the Age, the Sydney Morning Herald, the ABC, The Saturday Paper, Cosmopolitan, the Guardian, Slate, The Big Issue, the Telegraph UK and various literary journals. In 2016, she released her debut memoir Fight Like A Girl. It has sold more than 60,000 copies in Australia and has since been published internationally. In 2017, she won the Matt Richell Award for Best New Writer of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards.

In 2018, Clementines follow up, Boys Will Be Boys, quickly became a national bestseller. In it, Clementine explores how patriarchy, toxic masculinity and misogyny conspire to harm both women and men. She describes the book as a love letter to her son, to whom she also pens a letter of hope in the final chapter. Boys Will Be Boys has been longlisted in the 2019 ABIAs Best Non-Fiction Book category and will be published internationally in mid-2019.

Clementines work is often confronting but always rooted in empathy, radical honesty and the desire to create a better world for all people. As a speaker and presenter, Clementine has appeared at Melbournes Wheeler Centre, ACMI, the Sydney Opera House, Adelaide Writers Week, the Brisbane Writers Festival, the Ubud Readers and Writers Festival, the Newcastle Writers Festival, the National Young Writers Festival, the Reality Bites Literary Festival, Women of Letters, Cherchez La Femme and the City of Melbournes Conversations series. Additionally, she is regularly invited to speak at schools and universities. Clementine has been a guest on ABCs Q and A, Channel Nines Mornings and is a frequent contributor to Network Tens The Project.

In 2019, Clementine launched a podcast series called Conversations With Men, with the intention of exploring the interior lives and concerns of some of Australias most interesting male identities. She is also working on a junior version of Fight Like A Girl for readers aged 10-14.
