Mark started his working life in sales and marketing before studying and working in the area of social services. It was here that he gained his insight into dealing with people and came to understand the complexities of human behaviour. After a number of years involved in counselling and social work he decided to pursue a career in the corporate world, initially focusing on training and development, and later concentrating on organisational development and change. Since the mid 80's Mark has worked for a number of organisations in Performance Improvement and Organisational Development roles being exposed to a wide range of markets and cultures.
During his career Mark has specialised in leadership development. He has trained thousands of managers in cutting edge leadership techniques that are crucial in the running of modern organisations. His leadership development program Power to Lead is current, practical and designed to align with the strategic initiatives of your business, providing real results that impact the bottom line.
Since 1992 has conducted his highly successful Future Leaders Program designed to fast track high potential employees to more senior leadership roles. Through this program and interaction in recent years with hundreds of younger employees, Mark has gained valuable insight into the thinking, values and expectations of GenX and GenY. In many cases the future of our organisations will depend on how successful we are at understanding generations X and Y, and adapting to suit their needs. While this might irk the baby boomers, it is the organisations that ‘get it' who will attract the best GenX and GenY have to give.
Mark is a prominent business author, speaker and educator based in Sydney, Australia. He has authored two books, The Use and abuse of office politics, which was recently republished by Allen & Unwin, and Get what you want out of life and work.

During the course of this year he has worked in the following countries: Dubai - UAE, Amman - Jordan, Nairobi - Kenya, Baghdad – Iraq, Jakarta – Indonesia, Hong Kong – China, Singapore, Beijing - China, Islamabad - Pakistan, Kabul – Afghanistan, Zagreb – Croatia.
