Dr Sally Cockburn is a GP. However, she is more likely better known around Australia as her radio and television alter ego: Dr Feelgood.

Sally has worked in radio and TV for 20 years. This includes her own national talkback relationships program, Pillowtalk, as well as her own show on Channel 7 and nine years on Good Morning Australia as a health presenter.

She is currently seen on Channel 7's The Morning Show and can be heard each Sunday hosting her own talk-back program, Talking Health, on Melbourne's 3AW Radio.

Sally has written for many national magazines and her book reached the best seller list and currently writes the sealed section in Girlfriend Magazine.

Behind the scenes, Sally is passionate about patient and community issues. She is especially interested in bringing sensitive issues into the open.

She is Chair of Family Planning Victoria, and sits on the board of Vic Health.

She is co-Chair of the Vic Health Advisory Committee on Violence Against Women, and has recently been appointed to the Victorian Sexual Health Task Force and Mental Health Reform Council.

Sally is a Life Australia Day Ambassador, a member of the Patrons Council of the Royal District Nursing Service, an Ambassador for the Lort Smith Animal Hospital and patron of several other community organizations.

As part of the 2010 celebrations on International Women's Day and in recognition of her contribution to health communications, Sally was one of 20 inspirational women inducted into the prestigious Victorian Government's Women's Honour Roll this year.

If you are wondering how Sally achieves all this, she says you'll be pleased to know that she has a messy house and her car is overdue for a service.
