Adam is best known to most Australians as the three time Gold Logie nominated host of ABC TVs Spicks and Specks. Since it's premiere in 2005 "Spicks" has defined Wednesday nights for more than 1.2million Australians, taking a humble music quiz show to the top of the ABC's ratings. In 2008 Adam, Alan and Myf toured Australia with the Spicks and Spektacular, selling more than 150,000 seats over three months.
But when he is not sitting between Alan and Myf on a Wednesday night it is a fair guess that Adam is somewhere in the world with a mic in hand doing his day job - globe trotting stand up comedian.
Having been nominated for its top gong three times, Adam is a favourite at the Edinburgh Festival - the biggest comedy festival in the world, often topping sales and always bagging rave reviews.
Generally based in London for the second half of the year Adam tours the UK, Ireland and Europe as well as taking out time to perform at the world class Montreal Just For Laughs comedy festival where he has performed more times than any other Australian.
In amongst this he's won a Helpmann Award, released two best selling stand up DVDs and had his own one hour stand up special on ABC TV. He has performed to the Queen, alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Lady GaGa and Bette Midler and hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics for ABC TV.
Adam did his first ever stand up gig on his 19th Birthday and in July 2010 Adam spent his 40th Birthday and 21st anniversary of stand up comedy on stage at the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne doing what he loves - bringing his unique, uplifting brand of comedy to another 900 people reprising his hit show Inflatable and marking the occasion by recording another DVD.
