Dr. Dina McMillan is a social psychologist and relationship expert from California. She received both a Master’s degree and PhD in social psychology from Stanford University. After graduation, she was invited to host a talk-back radio program in Los Angeles, where she also began a private consulting practice. Specialising in all types of interpersonal relationships, Dr. Dina has counselled thousands of individuals, couples and families in the United States and Australia.
Dr Dina is regularly interviewed by newspapers throughout Australia and is a regular columnist for a number of popular women’s magazines published in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe.
In April, 2007 Dr. Dina released a book on the early warning signs of manipulation and abuse called, ‘But He Says He Loves Me: How to avoid being trapped in a manipulative relationship’ (April 2007: Allen & Unwin). The book has been extremely well received and is currently available in fourteen countries in both English and Spanish.
Dr Dina has also been featured on a variety of national television and radio programs throughout Australia and New Zealand. In April 2008 Dr Dina McMillan was cast as an expert host on ‘The Nest’ (SBS). The show has been one of the most successful in SBS history.
Dr. Dina currently lives in Rose Bay, New South Wales. She is scheduled to release two new books on relationships in early 2009.
