Stacey Thomson, more affectionately known as Ranger Stacey is a television personality, presenter, MC, wildlife communicator, writer and producer.

As a 1990's pin-up girl for the environment she has entertained, educated and inspired generations of animal lovers and conservationists. Stacey began her career as a qualified Ranger with Queensland National Parks and Wildlife Service, and was stationed at Main Range, Lamington and St Helena Island National Parks.

In the late 1980's, her knowledge combined with a sense of natural wonder and bubbly personality caught the attention of TV executives ... and Stacey's television career blossomed.

Her television credits include the multiple Logie Award winning Wombat and Agro's Cartoon Connection, as well as the iconic Totally Wild. In February 2021 Totally Wild was cancelled after 29 years on air. As the face of the program since day one, Stacey is a much-loved household name throughout Australia!

She teamed up with the late Steve Irwin to film Croc Week Live for Animal Planet in 2003, and appeared on Rove Live for 7 years as the resident animal expert. More recently Stacey has featured on Studio 10, The Project, The Living Room, Celebrity Name Game, Celebrity Big Brother, Have You Been Paying Attention, and made a cameo appearance on Utopia. In addition to her television achievements she has a flair for radio, most notably when she joined the B105 Breakfast Crew back in 2004.

As an experienced media personality Stacey has a diverse skill set. Her warm and playful nature has endeared her to audiences young and old. In 2019 her dedication to environmental education through the media was recognised when a newly discovered species of snail was named in her honour - Burwellia staceythomsonae

For three decades, Stacey has cuddled koalas and wrangled reptiles ... she is everyone's favourite Ranger. Her only fears are grasshoppers, eels and heights!

Stacey is married to former cameraman Rob McCall who she met in 1992. They have two daughters Bridget 20 and Madi 18, and Ralph the dog.
