Stan Alves is one of the greatest motivators in league football. Seen as one of the modern-day style of coaches, his methods revolve around meticulous planning, individual attention, and modern scientific analysis.

Stan's addresses are highly inspiring and extremely relevant, focusing on the importance of strategic planning and modern science/technology as the main constituents of success.

Stan Alves is one of the Australian Football League's (AFL) favourite sons. As a player he represented the Melbourne and North Melbourne football clubs a total of 276 times, playing in a Premiership in 1977 and being Runner Up for the Brownlow Medal in 1975. It is however as a coach of recent times that Alves has hit the spotlight. After taking the St Kilda Saints from close to the bottom of the ladder in 1996 to Runner Up in 1997, Alves was selected as Coach of the Year and Coach of the All Australian Team. Prior to his coaching duties at the Saints Alves had been involved in several Management roles with ANZ, Mobil Oil and IOOF.

Stan Alves' presentations are always highly motivational and relevant. Some of the companies he has spoken to include; National Mutual, Gas & Fuel Corporation, Mattel, Mobil and IOOF. His book titled "The Sacked Coach" highlights that whilst you may be at the top of your profession, it doesn't protect you from internal and external obstacles and influences.
