Speakers Profile - Brian Taylor

Travels From:
Sydney

Fee Range: B

After running his own successful sales and marketing agency Brian was drawn to the human resource business nearly 20 years ago.

In 1994 Brian established the Sydney Institute of Management. The firm has earned a reputation as a well respected management consultancy specialising in human resource performance improvement.

The company uses both Australian and international materials and programs to design, manage and deliver client projects across a wide range of topics.

Brian has trained and addressed an abundance of Australia's top executives and consulted to many of Australia's leading private and public sector organisations. He has also guest lectured at a number of universities and worked with some of the best known international ‘gurus' of modern times including Edward de Bono, Stephen Covey and Dr. John Gray.

In an engaging session Brian summarises how to improve relationships and results by effectively holding those vital interactions which most people avoid or don't do well, most times creating lasting negative consequences.

Audience members usually gain a new awareness and receive a number of skills they can use.

As one of the ‘select few' accredited facilitators in Australia, Brian's main speaking topic is based on the internationally best-selling book and program ‘Crucial Conversations'.

The presentation teaches participants how to share their ideas and concerns- early and often- and avoid, identify and fix problems before they get out of hand.

Discover that the twin enemies to sharing information are silence and violence, where people either withhold valuable information or try to force their ideas on others.

‘Crucial Conversations' can assist perplexed employees who aren't quite sure how to bring up touchy, controversial and complex issues and resolve them. As a result, key business results usually suffer.
