Sydney

Fee Range: C

Craig Davis graduated from AWARD School in Sydney and started his own advertising agency. After a few years, having won business for fashion, financial services, technology, travel, tourism and government clients plus a host of creative awards, Craig sold his shares to his partners and moved to Singapore as Executive Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi. Within a year Craig was promoted to Regional ECD Asia/Africa and moved to Hong Kong.

Under his leadership the agency won Regional Agency of the Year, and helped Saatchis win International Agency of the Year at Cannes and Network of the Year titles from both Ad Age and Adweek. In 2003 Craig was named one of the world's Top 100 advertising people by Ad Age and Advertising Person of the Year by Campaign Brief.

The following year he joined the venerable J Walter Thompson and moved to London as Chief Creative Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Craig led the agency's creative win on the global HSBC account and the 3G launch of Vodafone.

In 2005 Craig was given global responsibilities for the creative leadership of JWT's 10,000 strong network. He established JWT's Worldwide Creative Council and introduced a provocative communications philosophy around the value of time that helps measure, benchmark and improve creative output across all media, old and new.

In his time with the company JWT made the biggest upwards leap in the history of the Gunn Report and JWT's creative award tally at Cannes increased more than five-fold.

Along the way JWT produced some remarkable "brands as entertainment" work for Ford, Unilever, Freixenet, Wilkinson Sword and others. In 2008, JWT won an unprecedented 39 Cannes Lions and effectiveness awards in all major markets and a large piece of the global Nokia business.

Craig has been selected as a juror for every major international advertising festival including One Show, Clio, D&AD and the Cannes Titanium jury, has appeared as an industry spokesperson on CNN, CNBC, CCTV many times, been interviewed by every major advertising publication, has made the Campaign ?A List? five years running and hosted the best attended seminar in Cannes featuring Martin Sheen, Arianna Huffington and Michael Patrick King.

Craig was the first ever guest editor of the Gunn Report, worked as an advisor to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, has spoken at the London SHOTS Forum, the Club de Creacion in Sao Paulo, been invited to Google Zeitgeist, run innumerable creative workshops, served as President of the Cannes Film and Press juries in 2008 and delivered the keynote address to the World Export Development Forum in Switzerland.

In between things he also became the fastest Australian to complete a marathon at the North Pole. After 10 years away, Craig returned home to Australia to teach his kids to surf and start a new venture.

He is currently Co Chairman and Chief Creative Officer for Publicis Mojo in Australia and New Zealand and, independently, the Founder of Brandkarma, the world's first brand-centric social media platform.
