One of Australia's most respected music radio personalities, Byron Cooke is currently the host of Triple M's national weekly new music show "Radar Radio" and anchor of Triple M Sydney's "Grill Team" breakfast show.

After quickly working his way from regional radio to an on-air gig at Western Sydney's "9inety6ix.1", in 1999 Byron relocated to the UK to live his radio dream. A two year run as presenter on the world famous XFM in London proved to be exactly that.

Returning to Australia for an on-air role with Sydney's no.1 music station 2DAY FM, Byron soon jumped to the rock side of the Austereo network to host Triple M's national music specials and anchor "The Shebang" with Fifi Box & Marty Sheargold. Broadcast live across Australia weekdays in the afternoon drive slot, "The Shebang" was the country's most listened-to radio show according to AC Nielsen figures.

Concurrently Byron secured a guest-host role on afternoon drive at Indie 103.1 Los Angeles in December 2004. In that same year, Indie 103.1 was voted by Rolling Stone Magazine as "the world's coolest radio station". He also featured on the stations weekly import music show "Passport Approved".
In 2006 Byron won the Australian Commercial Radio Award for "Best Music Special" for Triple M's broadcast of the historic "Live 8" event. In that same year he successfully developed and launched his own original U.S commercial radio format. Combining the genres of rock, hip-hop and alternative with a target audience of 18-34 yr old men, the 103.9 Revolution [KMBY-FM] in Monterey/Salinas/Santa Cruz was born. Within a year of launch Monterey County Weekly readers voted it "Local Radio Station of the Year" and the format went to #1 in its target demographic.

Byron is the only Australian to host a syndicated daily radio show in the USA. From 2007 to 2009, the "B-Team" aired weekdays in 5 Northern Californian markets with co-host Crissy Whalin. He was also recently appointed as a Digital Radio Ambassador by Commercial Radio Australia.
Career highlights include face-to-face interviews with U2, Metallica, Coldplay, Green Day, Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chilli Peppers & Black Eyed Peas. From his Los Angeles base Byron also presented ?Movies that Rock? specials for the Triple M Network, going one-on-one with Hollywood stars Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Orlando Bloom, Steve Carell & Chris Tucker.
Byron's passion for radio has now moved across to TV with his artist video interviews reaching a growing online audience worldwide for Triple M. He is regularly seen on the Ten Network's "7pm Project" & the Channel 9 hit "20 to 1".
