Sean is not the average businessman; in fact he is not the average anything. Arguably this is the reason aussieBum has become more than a brand -- it has become an Australian cultural icon. Since starting the company 9 years ago, the men's intimate apparel brand has gone on to win prestigious awards, becoming the Australian Exporter of the year twice, in the manufacturing category, as well as exceeding the expectations of all in regard to sales, scope and influence globally. In the year of the financial crisis, when other companies' were struggling to survive, aussieBum had their best year ever, exceeding $23.5 million in profits.

From a young age Sean was innately talented at making something from nothing, and even though other people had labelled him a failure, he suspected that when his time came, he had the potential to prove every one wrong, and reveal the genius behind his imagination. It was not easy, however, when Sean began his journey, Australian department stores laughed in his face, and would not even arrange to meet with him, a lesson in persistence that has not left him to this day. aussieBum is a vessel of self-expression for Sean, and even though he began the company with the humble aim of paying his bills, he has grown aussieBum into a global brand with his creative genius and a team he likens to a pack of wolves -- instinctually hungry for success and always ready fend off the competition.

Even though the brand has experienced unprecedented success, Sean has not changed -- he is down to earth, caring and loyal. He leads by example at aussieBum, with a strong value system to ground his enigmatic personality. Simply, Sean is the rudder behind aussieBum's creative development, and he is also the person who ensures the company stay's true to its' value system and humble beginnings, never one to be arrogant or take success for granted. Whilst other fashion brands ship production offshore, aussieBum products are Australian made, by people who have a vested interest in maintaining the quality of the apparel - a block away from Sean's house -- where the company began.

Sean's business success is defined by his ability to always be 10 steps ahead of the pack, in addition to his strong beliefs in regards to treating people with respect and fairness. He is able to instinctually respond to problems quickly because he surrounds himself with proactive people at aussieBum, giving them the flexibility and freedom to do things differently, whilst still providing a guiding hand for the aim of creating the best possible product. This has all led to Sean evolving as a person himself, and ever expanding his own and others creativity and passion for making the impossible, possible.
