On November 22, 1998 Kurek broke the World Record for the longest Firewalk, where he walked on 81 meters (266 feet) of 600-degree coals at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds. Kurek is a top firewalk instructor and takes thousands of people across the coals safely.
Along with Kurek's hectic schedule as a presenter, he has also been a working professional actor in Hollywood, with over 38 film and television credits working with such people as Sylvester Stallone, John Travolta & Chuck Norris.
