Steve Crombie is the Born adventurer and the star of Lonely Planet's 'Natural Born Traveller' documentary series. His spirit of adventure developed at an early age in a childhood spent falling into the spine of National Geographic magazines. His journey is filled with fun, hardship, tragedy and experiences most of us could never imagine.
Steve circumnavigated the world by land and sea on a motorbike. His quest saw him travel 90,000kms from Australia to the Arctic Circle. It took him two years, he suffered from dehydration, starvation and disease - contracting Guardia, dysenteric amoebas and a few little parasites running through his bloodstream. He rebuilt his engine four times, crossed the Andes three times, travelled the length of the Amazon River and finally made it to the Arctic Circle.
Steve is currently writing a book about his adventure for Pan Macmillan titled 'Lost on Earth'. He is an ambassador for the Inspire Foundation and is an inspiring and articulate public speaker who takes his audience on an amazing ride as he shares his journey with them.
