After 20 years living and working overseas, Peter Barge returned home to Australia in July 2010. During this period he lived in New York and Singapore twice and Chicago once. His most recent assignment was as Asia Pacific's CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle where he oversaw 20,000 staff spread across 60 Asia Pacific offices and 13 countries.

Peter has held CEO and leadership positions in the Property, Hotel and Tourism, Education and Technology sectors.

Peter has been able to marry the hard edge needed to manage within a New York‐listed public company while still practicing his lifetime interests in meditation, permaculture and sustainability.

An author of The Little Book of Big Decisions published by Wiley & Sons in May 2005, he was the editor of another Wiley publication The Little Book of Real Estate Definitions Asia Pacific, a tool widely used by real estate professionals across the region. He also authored The Art of... series (now in 10th reprint) covering hotel services and operations and co‐authored International Hospitality Industry Organisational and Operational Issues. His latest work due out late in 2010 deals with cross‐cultural management and leadership within global organisations. He is currently on or has served on listed and private company or advisory boards in the UK, Middle East and Australia.

Peter is a sought‐after presenter at high level business conferences and a facilitator for off‐site workshops. He is regularly quoted or seen in Tier 1 media across Asia commenting on emerging Asian real estate trends, tourism, global outsourcing, cross‐cultural leadership and talent management.
