Joe Pollard began her career over 27 years ago working for J. Walter Thompson Advertising in Sydney as a Media Planner. She also worked in the London and Hong Kong offices becoming a Media Director in 1992.

From 1996 to 2004, Joe worked for Nike Inc in the United States where she held the position of Global Director of Media, Digital and Content. Joe managed Nike's media investments on a global basis, ran Nike's digital efforts through nike.com and established their branded content division. In 2004, she transferred to Nike Japan as Marketing Director to manage Brand strategy, Sports Marketing Advertising, Corp Comms, Digital and Retail Marketing.

In 2006, Joe joined PBL Media as Sales and Marketing Director, responsible for both functions across Nine, ACP Magazines and ninemsn as well as expanding PBL Media services into integrated marketing solutions.

From 2008 to mid 2011, Joe was CEO of ninemsn. With over 400 employees based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth & Auckland, Ninemsn is Australia's largest online publisher reaching 69% of the online audience with over 80 multi-platform content experiences. Also under her remit were the Windows Live product suite with 6.5mil active users and the Bing Search Engine with over 3.5million users per month. Ninemsn is also made up of a number of other businesses: msn.co.nz (3rd largest portal in NZ); HWW (a content syndication & electronic programme guide business); 5th Finger (a mobile services business) and Cudo (the fastest growth daily deals business in Australia) as well as minority shareholdings in Rate City & ISelect

Joe has also served as a board member for ninemsn, I Select, IAB, AANA and ABCN.
