Sophie Scott is an award winning journalist and bestselling author. She is the National Medical Reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Her stories appear on the ABC's flagship news bulletin at 7.00pm, the 7.30 program and ABC online. She has been a guest host on RN’s Health Report and can be heard regularly on ABC radio news and programmes.

Sophie Scott received the Media award at the Research Australia "Thank You" Day Awards in recognition of her ability to communicate complex information in a way that the general community can easily understand. She won the Australian Museum Eureka award for medical reporting and has won many other national journalism awards.

Sophie Scott was a television newsreader for ABC Tasmania. She was an executive of the Australian Medical Writers Association and is on the board of the Australian Medical Association Charitable Foundation NSW. She has written two bestselling books titled "Live a Longer Life" and “Roadtesting Happiness".

She is a sought after public speaker, presenter, MC and facilitator. She was appointed an Associate Professor (Adjunct) at University of Notre Dame Medical School, lecturing in health, science and communication.
