Catherine McGregor is a writer commentator and broadcaster who covers cricket and politics for News Limited. She has been a member of the ABC commentary team for the 2014-15 series against India and is a sought after expert for her views across numerous topics on the ABC and commercial networks. She is also a published author. She currently writes for The Daily Telegraph and The Australian and has been a regular panelist on The Drum Q&A and Lateline.

Catherine served for nearly four decades in the Australian Defence Force. Her service embraced a diverse range of strategic policy and operational roles including three operational deployments overseas. She was the speech writer to every Chief of the Army from 2000 until her retirement in 2014. She has an excellent grasp of strategic policy making, analysis of global trends, global political affairs as well as cultural change and workplace diversity issues. For her exceptional service to the Australian Army she was gazetted in the Military Division of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2012. She was voted one of Australia's most Influential Women by the Australian Women's Weekly in consecutive years 2013 2014 and 2015.

Catherine holds postgraduate qualifications in Military History and attended the Changing Character of War Programme in Oxford in 2008.

She is a Trustee of Camp Gallipoli. Catherine's personal story of gender transition is compelling and inspiring. However, she is a speaker of enormous range and can speak with authority on the impact of disruptive technology on your work force, global geopolitics and Australian culture and politics.
