Journalist and Four Corners Presenter, Sarah Ferguson wrote and presented ABC TV’s acclaimed documentary series on the Rudd Gillard years, The Killing Season. This was followed by a book on the series, “The Killing Season Uncut”. In the same year, Sarah made the ABC’s documentaries on domestic violence, “Hitting Home” – spending six months on the frontline of Australia’s domestic violence crisis, in prisons, refuges and hospitals to present this two part series.

Sarah began her career in newspapers in the UK then moved to Paris, where she worked in TV current affairs and arts documentaries before moving to the Washington DC. In Australia she worked for SBS on the Dateline and Insight programs and then spent four years at Channel 9, on the Sunday program.

A 10 year old school essay on “What I want to be when I grow up” revealed two ambitions for Sarah – to be a commando and a librarian in the British House of Commons. A prescient, prefect description of life as a Four Corners reporter.

Since joining the ABC Sarah has won a number of awards, 5 Logies for Most Outstanding Public Affairs Report , three Walkleys and the Gold Walkley in 2011 for ‘ A Bloody Business’, the Melbourne press Club Gold Quill in 2013 and the Queensland Premier’s Literary Award.
