Robbie's broadcasting career began at the ripe old age of 10, when he was introduced to community radio in Lismore and ended up hosting a classical music show for two years.

After a stint studying photography at the Queensland College of Art Robbie returned to radio, landing a job at Sydney's 2SER-FM and then going on to work as a sound engineer for SBS radio and T.V.

For the past two decades he's presented programs across the gamut of the broadcast spectrum. He's well known for his 13 year stint hosting for the Australian youth broadcasting network triple j .There he presented pretty much every show on the network.

Highlights include the creation of the Australian music show Home and Hosed, presenting the Drive program and co-hosting Breakfast.

For several years he also hosted the SBS Television dance music show Alchemy.

More recently he's spent two years at the helm of 702's Evening Show and another couple as host of Radio National's weekday afternoons, where he created the music program The Inside Sleeve.

He's currently setting his alarm for 3:30 in his role hosting the breakfast show on ABC Radio Sydney.

Robbie lives in Sydney with his wife and two young children and continues to pursue his love of music and photography.
