Carmel Travers' career in the media began twenty five years ago when she commenced her cadetship in journalism at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Adelaide in 1973.

Since that time Carmel has earned a reputation as one of Australia's most experienced journalists, having worked in every continent around the world, covering stories ranging from civil war and unrest to science and technology, from international politics to the environment and beyond.

She is best know as the founder and presenter of the internationally acclaimed television series Beyond 2000.

Today, Carmel heads up Australia's largest independent animation and multi-media studio, Energee Entertainment.

Carmel is an active campaigner for aboriginal reconciliation, a member of the Advertising Standards Board, and a frequent speaker and moderator at national conferences.

She has been a keynote speaker and conference chair for the country's top corporations.
