Jason is a Circular Economy entrepreneur with 20 years of applied and academic experience pioneering the approach in the US, UK, EU, SE Asia and Australia via gDiapers, a pioneering venture-backed, Circular nappy company that he co-founded with his wife Kim.

Jason championed the Cradle-to-Cradle product design approach, securing Cradle-to-Cradle certification for gDiapers in 2007. gDiapers was the first consumer product to achieve this. Cradle-to-Cradle is the foundation element of the Circular Economy. gDiapers launched an entirely new hybrid nappy category, the first since disposable nappies were invented in 1960. Since then the global leader in nappies Procter & Gamble has followed suit with their own hybrid nappies.

More recently, Jason has launched a successful pilot of the company's next generation 100% commercially compostable baby nappy and service in Indonesia, the epicentre of the global marine plastic waste crisis.

gDiapers was an early member of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's Circular Economy 100. Jason and co-founder / wife Kim published "A Circular Economy for nappies and how to implement it locally" with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. He is concurrently completing a PhD at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS. Jason was recently appointed as a Director of Circular Australia, the country's peak Circular Economy body.

Jason is a sought-after and entertaining speaker combining his practical experience building one of the world's first Circular Economy companies spanning the US, UK, EU and SE Asia and drawing on his research insights from his PhD work.
