Kim Graham-Nye is an entrepreneur, author, TEDx speaker, and activist who has always believed business needs to be a force for good. Growing up in Canada during the 'Wall Street - Gordon Gecko - greed is good' era, she refused to buy into this single bottom line framework, instead striving to serve both people and the planet with her endeavours.

Today Kim is considered a pioneer in both social entrepreneurship and the Circular Economy, attending Davos in 2022 as a guest of World Economic Forum and the G20 for their inaugural Oceans 20 dialogues in Indonesia in November.

Kim describes her early businesses as opportunistic, trying to create both 'meaning and money' but more often than not swinging on the pendulum between the two sides. Her ability to see market trends and enrol customers in her vision allowed Kim to have her first exit at the age of 25 when she sold her telecommunications sales agency to Global One, a Joint Venture between Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom & Sprint.

It wasn't until she and husband Jason had their first son in 2002, that she was able to marry her passion for broader global impact with her entrepreneurial skills and create gDiapers, a truly triple bottom line company serving people, planet, and profit. The young family moved to the US, and together raised venture capital and became the world's first consumer brand to receive the prestigious Cradle to Cradle environmental certification.

Her work with gDiapers lead to numerous awards across product innovation, sustainability and company culture. gDiapers is recognized as one of the first Passion Brands thanks to its focus on building an effective culture and engaged community as the foundation for its very successful, low cost, organic marketing strategy. Because of this, the company has been featured in MBA case studies at Kellogg, Dartmouth, Duke and other Universities. Prior to the launch of Facebook, gDiapers had 5,000 mums exchanging over 7,000 messages per week on a Yahoo User Group. In 2009 the company had over 8,000 gMums volunteering in various capacities for the company, driven by their love of the brand.

In 2011, Kim was named in Fortune Magazines coveted 'Most Powerful Women in America' list as #8 in the entrepreneur category. A decade later, she continues to lead as one of the World's 100 Most Influential Designers, attending Design for Planet alongside COP 26 in 2021.

As the world grapples with plastic waste and the climate crisis, Kim and Jason continue to lead their industry to circular economy solutions by moving from oil based to renewable based; from pollution creation to resource generative; and from a burden to our children to an inspiration in how we make, use and contribute to the world we live in.
