From beginnings as a member of iconic Australian sketch group Castanet Club and the 1991 cult film of the same name, Mikey Robins has gone on to become one of Australia’s best-loved and most sought after entertainers. Spanning a career in radio, television and stand up, his clever observations, quick one-liners and brilliant, biting banter have brought him national acclaim and contributed to a long list of highlights, including ABC radio, Vega and Triple M’s Merrick… and Australia (with Merrick Watts), and is currently a regular co-host on Studio 10, Today Extra and Sunday Jury on Channel Nine’s TODAY show. He has also enjoyed recent appearances on You Have Been Watching and regular guest spots on Sunrise, Spicks and Specks and The Fat.

After seven years behind the mic hosting Triple J’s national breakfast show, he became an audience favourite as team leader on the hugely popular, high rating Good News Week and its various franchises.

Outside a successful TV and radio career, Mikey also enjoys sell-out shows during Melbourne International and Sydney Comedy Festivals, regular performances at Australia’s leading comedy venues and cruise ships, and a highly polished, sought after corporate repertoire. An expert facilitator, he has extensive experience in the corporate and the public sectors and receives praise for his ability to coordinate workshops, strategic-planning sessions and team-building exercises alike.

In 2013, Mikey was given the honour of being invited to be Master of Ceremonies at His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet's public talk at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. He has also co-written books Three Beers, a Chinese Meal (both with Helen Razor) and Big Man’s World (with Tony Squires and The Sandman) as well as contributing columns for The Daily Telegraph, GQ and Men’s Style, in which he recounted his experience entertaining the troops in Afghanistan.
