With a Bachelor of Media at Macquarie University and a major in Print Media under her belt, Sophie dabbled in modeling and quickly made her mark on the industry.
After an extensive national search Sophie was selected as the new
Hostess on Wheel of Fortune in 1999 and quickly attained national
popularity which she maintains to this day.
In March of 2000 Sophie was launched as the face of the Australian Wonderbra Campaign at the time joining Eva Herzigava and Sarah O'Hare as the international faces of Wonderbra.
Sophie also established herself as the perfect choice for appearances,
hosting of various events including the prestigious New Woman Beauty
Awards.
Sophie's on air appeal continued to grow with guest appearances on
Sydney Weekender and Roy & HG's Olympics show, The Dream and The
Sunrise show and wasn't long before Sophie was secured as a permanent reporter on The Great Outdoors.
Sophie's flawless good looks soon came to the notice of the highly regarded skin care company Neutragena when Sophie was signed up as the Australian Face of Neutragena from 99- 03.
In a few well placed steps Sophie Falkiner became one of the busiest women on Television traveling the world with The Great Outdoors,
filming regular duties on Wheel of Fortune and fulfilling duties as the Face of Neutragena and more recently Berlei.
Sophie has also been a contributing writer for New Woman magazine
and continues to grace the pages and covers of Australia's leading
magazines.
In 2004 Sophie became the on going face of Berlei and in 2005 gave birth to her first child with husband Tony Thomas.
Due to the extensive travel commitments of The Great Outdoors Sophie resigned her position with that show on the birth of her child Isabella.
In 2005 Sophie decided not to continue her role on Wheel of Fortune while at the same time broaden her list of accomplishments delving into Radio, co hosting with Katrina Warren 3 days a week with their own show ?She Said"? broadcast on Radio 2.
In October of 2005 Sophie was engaged by Foxtel to host Australia's version of the highly rating US show "Celebrity Poker"? airing in Jan 06.
In 2006 Sophie was contracted to Foxtel co hosting with Mike Hammond the Myer Spectacular in Melbourne and hosting the
series "Intimate Portraits" on The Biography Channel along with other special events.
Then in June of 2007 Sophie commenced her role as co host on the exciting new entertainment show "Confidential"? on Fox 8 in conjunction with News LTD newspapers.
Sophie continues to MC selected engagements, hosting on stage events around Australia for Myer with Priscilla Presley, Virgin Airlines, Sunsilk and Telstra.
With a long history of Charitable commitments Sophie was proudly Ambassador for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
Sophie's down to earth attitude, easy smile and intelligent approach to her career combined with enviable appeal ensure high media attention and constant appearance demand.
