Who is Brendan Moar?
Brendan Moar has many strings to his bow. TV host, landscape architect, writer, (occasional) actorand photographer are among the things he is known for. Growing up in Armidale New South Wales, he became obsessed with photography and was determined to become a photographer. After a few years of training and working as a photographer he then felt a desire to study landscape architecture blending another two loves the environment and design. With a degree in Landscape Architecture he worked with international design firm Hassell on a wide variety of large scale public projects. Then another desire became too strong, one to perform and this is where it all started to get a little crazy. He quit landscape architecture to pursue acting and landed a role in Disneys Beauty and the Beast and had the ubiquitous honour of being the largest utensil on stage every night the Cake server! He also understudied the lead male roles of Gaston and the Beast.

A string of other acting roles in theatre and TV followed when in 1999 a friend suggested he test for a hosting role with

The LifeStyle Channel on Foxtel who were searching for a landscape architect to be a host for their new series By Design. Twelve years later, and Brendan had become a familiar face on The LifeStyle Channel, being part of, and fronting several series and one-off specials including Home (with Pete Evans and Shannon Fricke), Postcards from Home, Future Gardens, Future Homes, and his own series Moar Gardening and later,Dry Spell Gardening. Dry Spell Gardening (series 1 and 2 2007-2009) is the series he is particularly proud of, creating amazing climate friendly gardens for some very special people.
In 2011 Brendan took on a new challenge and hosted The Renovators created by Shine for Channel 10. Hosting a show of such scale and impressive production values was a great honour and experience, exposing Brendan to a whole new audience.

Beyond tv, Brendan continues to design gardens, write books (Grounded 2005 and Green 2011), contribute to Inside Out magazine, MC corporate and charity functions, conduct face to face design workshops, photograph and most recently, is developing garden tours with two well established tour companies.
