Dog Trainer, Farmer, Business Entrepreneur and Reality TV Star.

Dave is the youngest of 11 children, was raised on a 100,000 acre conglomerate of Cattle, Sheep and Cropping Stations in Goondiwindi, South West Qld. Caring for animals and working for their betterment is ingrained in David's DNA. Whether it be thousands of head of stock on a drive being managed by his team of working kelpies and border collies, or tending to an abandoned lamb rescued by one of his Guardian Maremmas. David brought his love of dogs and understanding of their inbuilt traits and requirements to the city, via an incredible learning curve that has seen him learn from wild and domestic canines and their human carers in over 60 countries.

After a serious parachuting accident with Urban Search and Rescue Training, Dave spent 6 months with many broken limbs in a wheel chair where he fully and completely converted to positive reinforcement training methods for dogs.

He credits much of his rehabilitation success to his devoted Kelpie, Rosie and since then David vowed to spend the rest of his life in the service of dogs and bettering their treatment and understanding by humans. This dream is being realised with David being the driving force behind taking science based training to the masses. David is doing this as founder of the Australia's largest positive reinforcement dog sports centre (The Farmer Dave Dog Center in Sydney) and also as the founding president of DockDogs Australia, founding president of Scent Sport Australia, ambassador for Working Dog Rescue, Animal Welfare League, Working Breed Rehab or Host and Presenter of the Nation's biggest and smallest dog shows. So, if you see Farmer Dave somewhere chances are you will see one of his beloved dogs too.

In 2011, Farmer Dave was flown to the USA by The Oprah Winfrey Network to shoot a TV pilot about dogs in Los Angeles. In 2013 he hosted the acclaimed ABC/BBC TV documentary Dingo: Wild Dog At War. Dave has also been a fashion model strutting his stuff on the catwalks of Milan, Paris and Florence and was in the cast of Big Brother Australia in 2006 where he finished 3rd in the competition.
