Alicia Barry is one of the most recognisable faces of business, finance and economics coverage in Australia.

She has extensive interviewing and live TV experience and hosts the 'The Business' program on ABC on Thursdays providing deep analysis and insight into the events in the local and global economy and shining a light on the happenings in corporate Australia, and is the host of 'Close of Business' on Fridays.
She constantly questions leaders of major corporations and reports from the newsroom on major breaking business news stories and economic events as they occur.
Starting out as a business producer at SKY News Australia, Alicia quickly moved up the ranks and then jumped to the ABC an associate producer of 'BusinessToday' in 2007, before taking over the executive producer role in 2009.
Alicia moved through the ABC newsroom in radio, radio current affairs and as a and finance business TV reporter; before taking up prime time presenting roles in 2011.
Constantly curious and widely read; Alicia enjoys exploring complex economic issues, machinations of markets and the inner working of corporations and their culture and has a keen interest in how organisations are adapting to the climate change issues looming.
