Accomplished stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter, author and film director. He has performed across the globe — from Singapore to Paris, New York and London — and appeared at major festivals including the Edinburgh, Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals.
A favourite on the corporate circuit, Gary has worked with many of Australia’s biggest brands. His engaging style, sharp wit and ability to tailor material make him an ideal choice for awards nights, conferences and roadshows. Whether delivering a bespoke comedy set, hosting as MC, or even or even as a surprise hoax guest. Gary brings energy, professionalism and laughs to every event.
Beyond stand-up, Gary has built a diverse career in film and television. He co-wrote and co-directed Happy Feet Two with Academy Award–winner George Miller, also voicing several characters in the film. Gary won the world’s largest short film festival, Tropfest, with his short film The Money, now exceeding 50 million views online. He co-wrote and starred in the cult comedy feature You Can’t Stop the Murders (currently being adapted for the stage), and appeared in the comedy film Boytown alongside Mick Molloy and Glenn Robbins.
Gary is the co-creator, writer and episode director of the global kids’ animation hit VEGESAURS, now in its fifth season on ABC TV and one of BBC’s most-watched preschool series, second only to Bluey.
Gary has authored two children’s picture books published by Scholastic — Wake Up Sleepyhead and The Day the Moon Came to Stay — and currently has two feature comedy films in development.
Gary continues to perform regularly on the Australian comedy scene.
