Kate Burleigh is a seasoned technology executive and board director with over 25 years of experience leading digital transformation and AI initiatives across global organisations. With hands on experience in the application of AI, Kate brings strategic insight to the intersection of emerging technologies and business innovation.
Currently, Kate serves as Non-Executive Director for: Hollard Insurance where she additionally chairs the Projects and Technology Transformation Committee; ASX listed Super Retail Group where she chairs the Technology Transformation Committee, and Wenona School where she chairs the Corporate Governance Committee. Kate’s executive career included leadership roles at global technology giants, serving as Country Manager and Executive Director for Amazon Alexa and Devices, Australia/New Zealand (2017-2023), and Managing Director of Intel Australia/New Zealand (2011-2017). Kate’s formative career focused in product sales and marketing which has resulted in her keen understanding of viewing business and product development through the lense of the customer.
Kate’s contemporary business leadership and product management experience including AI application is of relevance to both B2B and B2C sectors. She is driven by a passion to empower ambitious Australian businesses to realise their full potential through strategic technology adoption that balances innovation with governance, creating measurable value for both customers and stakeholders.
Kate holds a Master of Business Marketing from the University of Technology Sydney, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She was recognised as the UTS Business School Alumni of The Year in 2016 and is also a member of Chief Executive Women. Kate has 2 daughters and lives with her husband in Mosman. She enjoys competition sailing and gardening in her spare time.
