Nicola Barr has a powerful presence that resonates far beyond her sporting prowess. Now in her 11th season in the AFLW (with nine years at GWS before joining St Kilda FC in 2025), Nicola is recognised not only for her resilience and leadership, but for her clarity, warmth and insight when speaking about culture, identity and leading through change.

Throughout her career, Nicola has managed multiple injuries and role changes, adapting and evolving in one of the most demanding high-performance environments. That lived experience under pressure gives her a grounded, relatable voice - one that connects with audiences navigating high stakes, change, or competing demands.

Beyond the field, Nicola works with FrontRunners - an organisation leading systems-level cultural change in sport and beyond. She works across projects that help individuals and organisations find their authentic voice, shape values-aligned culture, and lead in the face of complexity. Her work spans sectors - from professional teams to corporate leaders and not-for-profits - helping them navigate tough conversations and build better systems from within.

Nicola completed a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability from the University of Sydney, which complements her practical leadership experience with a strong understanding of the wider context - including the social, environmental and cultural shifts reshaping how organisations need to operate.

With presence, experience and depth, Nicola equips audiences to:

Lead with authenticity and clarity in challenging environments
Build values-aligned, resilient culture across teams and systems
Balance performance and wellbeing without losing sight of purpose
Find your voice - and help others do the same

Nicola leaves audiences with lasting insight and practical takeaways. She is trusted by organisations looking for a speaker who understands performance, pressure and change - and who knows how to build something stronger and more sustainable.
