Jason Morrison is 2GB's Director of Current Affairs and talk-radio presenter.

He is a daily contributor to Australia's most listened to radio program, The Alan Jones Show and is the regular stand-in. In addition, he presents daily editorials on 2CH Sydney and 2CC Canberra.

Jason's media career started with 2GB in 1989 at the age of 17 as a newsroom cadet and his since covered news stories and events in all parts of the country and around the world.

At the age of 26, in 1998, Jason was appointed Director of News at 2GB and remains the youngest person to have ever held that position. At the same time, he took on hosting the renowned 'Sundown Rundown' evening current affairs show on the station.

He has reported on some of the biggest stories of our time: from the Port Arthur Massacre to the Thredbo landslide, the rise and fall of Prime Ministers Hawke, Keating, and Howard, the Newcastle earthquake, both Bali bombings and numerous Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

In 2001, he left radio to work in television at Network 10's Sydney newsroom. He spent four years as chief of staff and News Editor – but left the top job to go back to 2GB in 2005 because he missed being on the radio too much!

He has also worked at Sydney stations 2UE, 2WS, 2SM, 2DAY, 2UW, and Coast Rock FM on the Central Coast.

He is a regular guest lecturer on media and hosts corporate and charity functions – including the prestigious Sir Roden Cutler Medal Award.

Jason grew up at Hornsby in Sydney's north. He was educated at St Leo's College. He is a graduate of the Australian Film, Television & Radio School.
