Tim Stackpool is an Australian based on-air presenter, acting as a freelance correspondent for television and radio services around the world.
At home, he is a popular and capable Master of Ceremonies for both corporate and public events. As a TV and radio professional, his CV boasts reporting for CBS in New York, CBC in Canada, Real Radio in the UK and RTE in Ireland. He was once the Chief Australian correspondent for the Canadian Economic Press. Currently, Tim hosts "The World" radio program (broadcast in most english-speaking countries), as well as being a longtime technology contributor to various specialty publications such as Australian Executive PA Magazine and AV, the magazine for the audio-visual professional. As such, he is a capable facilitator of discussions on a wide range of subjects, as well as being a proven and experienced public speaker.
Tim's compelling presence and sophisticated delivery ensures no message or introduction is missed by the audience, while never upstaging the main attraction. He is also available to facilitate local events, having provided MC services for various awards ceremonies, as well as public events such as The Footsteps Eco Festival, The Sustainable Energy Forum, The Sustainable Transport Forum, Earthbeat World Music Festival, Jazz In The Park, Sail Sydney and the popular Glebe Street Fair visited by more than 100,000 people. He has also moderated industry Q&A sessions following Australian Film Institute screenings. Tim recently facilitated numerous public consultation meetings regarding the controversial White Bay Passenger Terminal development in Sydney.
In large arenas, he is a proven stadium announcer, having provided services to various sporting federations and leagues both in Australia and abroad. As the tournament announcer at the Sydney International Tennis for more than 10 years, he has introduced and undertaken courtside interviews with players such as Serena Williams, John McEnroe, Pat Rafter, Goran Ivanisovic and many more.
Tim has also produced television documentaries screened on Channel Seven, Channel Ten and The Lifestyle Channel on Foxtel. He first joined the media industry with Channel Nine in Sydney working with the production crew on various programs. Having been a producer for both short and feature films, Tim is an accredited and voting member of the Australian Film Institute. Due to his radio news and feature story work, he is a member of the Australian Journalists Association and he was presented with an Honorary Membership into the Australian Cinematographers Society (November 2001) in recognition of his support of Australian Cinematographers both locally and abroad.
