David Marshall is one of the National Capital's high profile business leaders, having headed up Canberra's Austereo stations FM104.7 and 2CA for six years and then being appointed CEO of the Canberra Tourism and Events Corporation, a position he held for six years until June 2000.

David's background as a radio personality in his early career has seen him combine his on-air talents with his 20 year Chief Executive experience to moderate and MC major forums both in Canberra and interstate.

David Marshall also facilitates high-level planning sessions and 'team building' days for Commonwealth Government Departments and the private sector.

His involvement in tourism has seen him address countless tourism conferences both within Australia and overseas over many years.

David is also an author, having published five books on Canberra's 'Top Secret Locations' with Whitlam Government Cabinet Minister (1972-1975) the late Fred Daly. David is often called on as a guest speaker to provide an insight into the political intrigue of our National Capital.

David established a consultancy after leaving his tourism role in 2000, and focuses on developing media and communications strategies for the public and private sector, and also works with many leading agencies on developing the skills of their executives to handle the media. He gives many presentations to organisations on how to handle the media in a crisis, including the Institute of Company Directors (ACT).

David has an MBA and territory qualifications in Business Administration. He is currently completing a PhD, focusing on the media section within Prime Minister John Howard's office (1996-2007) and how this area handled the many serious issues the Government faced over their 11 and a half years on office.
