Neil Crompton is one of Australia's leading motor racing and automotive personalities.

His racing career spans 32 years, 8 years as a motocross (dirt bike) competitor and 24 years car racing, including 15 years as a professional driver.

Vastly experienced, Neil has raced and tested a huge variety of sedans and open wheel vehicles from Production Cars to V8 Supercars to Indy Cars and on circuits around the world, including New Zealand, England, France, Canada and the U.S.A.

Neil was chosen to drive for the official racing return of both the Holden and Ford factories to Australian motorsport. First as a foundation member driver of the Holden Racing Team with Win Percy in 1989, then in 1999, with Glenn Seton when Ford Tickford Racing was created to represent Ford after a 26 year official absence from the sport.

To date, Crompton has contested 357 car racing events...

On 22 occasions, Crompton has contested major events at famous Mt. Panorama circuit, Bathurst. Many times he's led the Bathurst classic, winning the 12 Hour Enduro in 1994 and scoring two third placing's in the 1000k event in 1992 and 1995.

His team mates have included Mark Skaife, Craig Lowndes, Glenn Seton, Jim Richards, Brad Jones, World 500cc Motorcycle Champion Wayne Gardner and the late Peter Brock.

Neil was also chosen by Holden on 3 occasions as the senior driver trainer for the Holden Celebrity Challenge support events at the Australian Grand Prix and was also instrumental in assisting rising V8 Supercar star James Courtney kick start his international car racing career.

Crompton's media credentials are equally impressive with a string of successful client partnerships on television, radio and the web dating as far back as the late '70's.

Between 1996 and 2006, Neil worked with the Network Ten motorsport team presenting V8 Supercar and FiA Formula One World Championship events and today he's a senior member of the Seven Network and BigPond motorsport broadcast teams.
