Sport Director of 2UE for the past twelve years, Ray Hadley has been with the station since 1981.

At the age of 24, and with the reputation as one of Sydney's best known auctioneers, Ray decided to pursue a life long ambition to be a sports commentator. Within 12 months of his decision and through persistence and hard work, Ray joined 2UE on a full time basis.

At the beginning of the 1987 season, he took over from Rex Mossop as the station's League caller and has helped take 2UE to the most listened to Rugby League Station in Sydney.

Ray's versatility is his trademark. He was the networks leading athletics commentator for the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland and the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Canada, has broadcast 20 world title fights involving Jeff Fenech and Jeff Harding, and has called Rugby Union Tests at Twickenham in London, Cardiff Arms Park in Wales and Murrayfield in Scotland.

Ray is also part of Alan Jones' No.1 Breakfast program where he presents sport. Since 1990, Ray has been a part of the successful Lowes menswear advertising campaign, appearing in over 100 commercials.

In 1992, Ray headed the 2UE coverage of the Olympic Games in Barcelona and has and has for the last four years, successfully filled in for John Laws over his six-week Christmas break.

During the Sydney bushfire crisis in January 1994, Ray was a vital source of information for the station's listeners.

He is also a member of the highly successful Channel Nine Footy Show and in 1996 was signed by Optus Vision to present his own two hour program - 'Talking League with Ray Hadley'.
