Sam is a thought leader and expert in not only bouncing back, but bouncing forward. He is the CEO for Empowering Enterprises and has been featured in USA Today and the New York Times. He is also a State Winner for the 2009 Young Australian of the Year.

In October 2006 Sam's life changed forever when he was involved in a major car accident, where he was pronounced dead. He was thankfully resuscitated, but left with an amputated right arm and a permanent disability in his right leg.

Sam was hospitalised for over 5 months and was told that he may not survive the best case being that if he was to survive he would never walk again. A year later he defied all odds taking his first steps into a new life, where his story would continue to INSPIRE and change the lives of Australians and people all over the world.

It was Sam's difficult journey that enabled him to develop a mental resilience and strength that gave him the tools to miraculously recover from an accident that could have taken his life. Sam's story is simple, yet his message demonstrates the awesome power and strength found within the human spirit when faced with the choice to continue living as a victim of a tragic accident, or to make a choice to seize the opportunity of 'life'.

Forever the opportunist Sam chose LIFE, and is now a hugely successful keynote speaker, reaching thousands of people every year.

Sam has a diverse background within the Australian Federal Government as a Youth Futurist and is also a highly skilled musician, and one of the only people in the world who retaught himself to play the guitar with an above elbow amputation.

Sam is at the forefront of global trends and has the unique ability to transform impossibilities into possible realities. Sam's thought leadership is in corporate & personal turnarounds and his message called BOUNCE. He flies around the world sharing his expertise and his passion in 'Bouncing Forward'.

Sam's passion also stretches as far as India where he has set up his own foundation supporting people living with a disability in some of the poorest places on earth.

Sam walks his talk, and it is through his experience that his authentic message is heard. After all we only have one life...

SAM CAWTHORN PROGRAMS:

BOUNCE!
BOUNCE is offered as a keynote and also a follow-up workshop. BOUNCE focuses on fixing the limits that we currently have. It provides bullet proof strategies to unleash those who are stuck and will awaken those who feel they are not adequate enough to push the limits to maximise their potential and productivity.

Sam speaks about his personal triumphs and takes attendees on a journey of discovery through their own lives. He speaks about a principle of not just bouncing back from crises, but Bouncing Forward through innovation, creativity and thought leadership. There are many inspiring stories, thought provoking ideas and challenges that keep listeners on the edge of their seats. His interactive and highly energetic conversations is capped off with a huge surprise of music and watching one of the only people in the world play the guitar with one hand.

Happy students show 3 times more creativity then their unhappy counterparts. Optimistic sales people outsell their peers by 37%.

Coal miners that are told that they are more appreciated by their bosses, increase their productivity by 30%. Students primed to be positive, score better on maths tests. Happy doctors perform more accurate diagnoses then unhappy doctors.

Harvard university studies show that if you are primed to be positive and happy before a test, you will perform better up to 50%. Study after study shows that if you think positively before entering into a challenge you have a 50% better chance of succeeding than your counterparts.

In order to operate our brains on an optimum level, we need to be in a happiness or positive mindset.
