Desh is the stage name of genuine funny man, Pradesh Ramiah, a South African Indian immigrant who grew up in Central Queensland. He is without a doubt the Aussiest South African Indian Comedian in the World!

Desh is an acclaimed Stand-Up Comedian and an accomplished Emcee, Host, Speaker and Debater with a decade of experience performing in theatres, comedy venues, corporate events, suburban pubs and clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to being declared seriously funny, Desh�s comedy is often described as intelligent, articulate, well informed and provocative. His easy and natural sense of humour, showmanship and professional attitude allows him bring laughter and mirth to any situation, be it a suburban pub or the boardroom.

Desh is also the only Australian comedian who retains his professional accreditation as a working Environmental Planning professional. Credited with a national award from the National Planning Institute of Australia and commendations from the Queensland and New South Wales governments, Desh provides credibility to any discussion on mega trend issues such as ecological sustainable development, urbanisation and climate change. He has advised and worked with the biggest companies and institutions in Australia and is capable of providing insightful and balanced commentary on political, economic and social trends.

Desh has been beneath the spotlight as a finalist in the National Triple J Raw Comedy Competition, finalist in the National Green Faces Comedy Competition and Winner of the Jupiter�s Casino Comedy Competition. Desh made his national television debut on the NRL Footyshow and has appeared on Rove, The Squiz, Hungry Beast and Stand Up Australia. Desh also appears as a featured comedian on The Best of the Footyshow Comedians and Show Us Your Roots DVDs.

In 2010 and 2011 Desh was engaged to entertain the capacity crowd at Sydney's ANZ Stadium for the ARL�s State of Origin.

Since moving to the Gold Coast in 2012, Desh has combined performing Stand Up and Emceeing with writing and producing his own seasons of solo stand up shows, �Bargain� and �Exploring Uranus� at Brisbane�s Sit Down Comedy Club. He is regularly heard on ABC�s Gold Coast FM and regularly booked to perform at gala events, festivals, corporate and charity events in metro and regional locations.
