Currently serving on the City of Sydney Council, Jess has has contributed to various sustainability, cultural and urban projects. These include the Wianamatta Waterways Cultural Care Map in collaboration with Djinjama and the NSW Department of Planning; ‘Sydney Doesn’t Suck’ an advocacy campaign to reduce single use plastic in hospitality; urban forestry projects and most recently she launched 16 transformative projects that would help Sydney become self-sustaining as part of A New Normal Sydney, featured as part of Vivid.
Jess served for 5 years on the Board of the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, and is a current member of TEDxSydney. She teaches boxing and kickboxing in Waterloo, loves (but is not very good at) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, plays AFL and baseball as part of the Sydney Women’s Baseball League.
