Performer & composer Tom Ward is the Rising Star of the modern Australian classic guitar music scene, fast making a name in the world of classical & contemporary music, nationally & internationally. There are regular ABC radio interviews with Tom & broadcasts of his music & CD ‘Tasmanian Sunrise'.

Highly appreciated by his audiences, this 21 year old has had the opportunity to meet with, perform and attend master classes with such internationally renown musicians & composers such as Pavel Steidl, Geoffrey Lancaster, David Leisner, Carlos Bonell, Jose Maria Gallardo del Ray, Carlo Barone, Tim Kain, Paco Pena, Stepan Rak & Julian Bream.

Throughout his musical life Tom has received numerous ARTS MUSIC awards including:
Tasmanian Composer of the Year 2000, Australian Society of Musicology & Composition and Australia Day Young Citizen of the year 2003.

Foundation for Young Australians Centenary Award
Member of Australian Guitar Trio recently gaining 1st place July 2004, in the International Competition for Guitar Ensemble, Australian International Guitar Festival, NSW.

Since the release of Tom's highly popular CD ‘Tasmanian Sunrise' containing his own compositions & produced by him at the age of 19, Tom has been in demand in Australia & overseas, recently performing at the International Festival of Codrogianos Italy 2004. He has an upcoming Japanese tour 2005. His next CD is in the pipeline & eagerly anticipated.
