During Rod Macqueen's time as Australian Coach (1997‐2001), the Wallabies held every championship trophy including the World Cup, Bledisloe Cup, Tri Nations Trophy, Tom Richards Cup and had an 81 percent winning ratio. Rod coached the NSW Waratahs to an undefeated season in 1991 and was inaugural coach of both the ACT Brumbies (1996‐7) and Melbourne Rebels (2011). As a sportsman in his own right, Rod represented at a high level in both surfboat rowing and Rugby Union. Rod was admitted to the International Rugby Board Hall of Fame in 2011 for his services to Rugby, both on and off the field.

Rod is Chairman of Advantage Line, a company he started in 1991 and transformed it into a multi‐million dollar point‐of‐sale and merchandising business. In addition, he is on the Board of several major Corporations and consults to multi‐national Companies. Rod was awarded an AM in the 2003 Australia Day Honours List for his Services to Sport, particularly Rugby Union.
