From television to the big screen, musical theatre to operetta to cabaret, Rhonda Burchmore has embraced them all with her wide ranging talents.

A performer since the age of two, Rhonda trained in singing, acting, and dancing and was awarded a scholarship to the University of New England, where she majored in Theatre Arts.

David Atkins, who featured Rhonda in his 1987 hit Dancin' Man, wrote a starring role especially for her in his tap musical Hot Shoe Shuffle. This production opened in Sydney in 1992 and then went on to make history, becoming the first Australian musical to open on London's West End. In 1996 Rhonda starred as Genie of the Ring in Aladdin for IMG and the Baroness in Paul Dainty's production of Cinderella with many of the from the Hey Hey It's Saturday show. In 1997 her own show Red Hot and Rhonda opened the Melbourne Casino and played to over 60,000 people. In the same year she worked on Broadway with Tommy Tune on the development of the new version of Irving Berlin's Easter Parade.

Rhonda has featured on almost every Australian television variety program and awards show. She has made regular appearances on The Midday Show, Good Morning Australia and Hey Hey It' Saturday.

She is also a regular soloist on the Nine Network's national broadcast of Carols by Candlelight.

In 1997 Rhonda was honoured when the television program This is Your Life launched their series featuring her life and career. In the same year Shock Records released her fist self-titles album Rhonda Burchmore.
