Robyn Butler is an actor, writer and producer based in Melbourne. In late 2007 ABC TV will be broadcasting the 6 half-hour comedy drama series, The Librarians, that Robyn co-created and co-wrote as well as starring in the role as Frances O'Brien. With husband Wayne Hope, Robyn also produced the series.

Robyn is a well-known radio personality, having been an on-air host with Mick Molloy from 2004 to 2006 on Triple MMM's highly successful midday Toughlove show. She continues to make regular appearances on radio. In 2002 Robyn co-wrote, directed and produced the comedy series, Stories From The Golf, for SBS television and it was nominated for the AFI Best Comedy Series.

Over recent years Robyn has written for Channel Ten's Skithouse and the Nine Network's Micallef Tonight and her long list of comedy writing credits include: One Size Fits All, Small Tales And True, The Eric Bana Show and A Christmas Story.

Well-known for her stand-up, sketch impro comedy and theatre background, Robyn has performed in the feature films, Boytown and Crackerjack, played Wendy in The Murray Whelan Series for the Seven Network and played Shaun Micallef's wife Kate Welcher in the ABC Comedy Series Welcher And Welcher. Other credits include multiple appearances in: Working Dog's Thank God You're Here; The Great Debate for the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for Network Ten; The Money Or The Gun; and Live And Sweaty. Robyn is currently developing drama and comedy projects for her and husband Wayne Hope's production company Gristmill Pty Ltd.
